Valka has been awarded “Outstanding Icelandic Supplier Processing 2014” in the small companies category by the Icefish (Icelandic fisheries exhibition) award committee. The awards reward excellence amongst suppliers of fish processing equipment whose growth and success is noticable in the industry.
Two years ago Valka first installed its X-ray guided cutting machine for detecting and automatically removing pin bones in fish fillets as well as cut them to the desired portions. A system that many have said the greatest advance/progress for decades in processing of whitefish. The system has now been installed in number of processing plants both in Iceland and Norway and further integrated with Valka’s new pre-trimming line and Aligner packing grader that make a complete advanced processing line.
