“The world’s first water-jet cutter for fish fillets on-board a trawler,” Aftenposten, Norway’s largest newspaper featured the new Ramoen trawler today. Ramoen the new 75m long factory trawler owned by Ramoen AS is scheduled for its first fishing trip next week. “At the moment this ship is the state of art in the Norwegian fishing industry”, said Egil Skarbøvik captain. Atle Vartdal is one of the ship owners. “Producing finished serving pieces on board helps the fish get a higher value when it leaves Norway, than if it had been exported decapitated and frozen abroad. The robots are thus helping to secure value creation and prevent workplace flagged out of Norway.”
Valka congratulates Ramoen AS with the new ship, we’re both happy and excited to be a part in this breakthrough moment in the fishing industry.
